Meets gather in the morning on a village green or at a pub. Wear tweed, a good coat and boots you can walk in. Go smarter than a dog walk, and warmer than you think.
Practical advice
- Layers under a coat: a tweed waistcoat over a jumper is warmer than a thicker coat.
- Boots you can stand in for two hours. Break them in before the day.
- Pockets: choose a jacket with real ones for gloves and a flask.
